Carrageenan is a seaweed extract used to make the marbling bath. It gives the bath the viscosity necessary to make paints float on its surface and allows for combed patterns and designs to hold their shapes. Carrageenan is food grade and comes in powdered form.

Instructions on making a bath using this carrageenan is included. Please note you will need a high-speed blender (a household blender works great).

• 1/4 lb. of carrageenan makes approx. 5 gallons of bath
• 1/2 lb. of carrageenan makes approx. 10 gallons of bath
• 1 lb. of carrageenan makes approx. 20 gallons of bath
