Experience the Tank Marbling Class

Get a peek into the world of marbling in this three-hour class perfect for those short on time but curious about the art form and wanting to play in the tank.

In this hands-on class, you will learn the basics to get you started designing both traditional marbled papers as well as your own creations. You will marble in a medium-size tank (11" x 14") on a variety of paper colors and weights. By the end of class, you will have 10-15 marbled pieces to take home and use for bookbinding, card making, scrapbooking, framing, and more.

This class is designed for beginners interested in exploring the ancient art form of floating paint on thickened water—without the hassle of prep, set up, and shopping for materials! Everything will be provided for you. Just show up and have fun! No previous art experience of any kind necessary!

Length of Class: 3 hours.

Number of Class Participants: Maximum of eight. Classes are for participants 16 years of age or older. Classes for children available upon request.

Cost: $99 and includes all paper, carrageenan bath, alum, distilled water, paint, use of tanks and tools, and handouts.

Private/Special Event Classes: This class is perfect for get togethers such as girls’ night out, birthday parties, and club meetings. It can be held either at Barb’s studio (no extra charge) or off-site (travel fee may apply). Email for more information.
